We stayed at Bahia Francisquito for several days and went for a longer hike up one of the arroyos. Here is a cactus that still has one flower in bloom:

Another small round cactus with flat thorns:

When we arrived in the bay Amanda was the only boat at anchor there but within a few day at least six other boats arrived and anchored.
Although the conditions for plants in the Baja desert are quite rough some of them manage to grow to surprising size:

A few of the plants were in bloom:

Looking down from the plateau into the arroyo that we planned to hike to get back to the beach:

Close-up of a dried-out waterfall running over the edge of the plateau:

It was a bit tricky to find a place where we could climb down safely but we managed to get to the bottom. There we found some beautifully carved sandstone caverns:

A lovely orange flower:

Three new shoots on a large cactus:

Almost back at the beach:

While we were in Bahia San Francisquito, Bjarne scrubbed the bottom of the boat a couple of times and both times it was covered by hundreds of these slugs:

We have never seen them before but in this bay they were numerous. They are called lion's mane nudibranch and use the large expandable fringed hood to capture planktonic crustaceans.
Below, one eye is very prominent and the little "flippers" are used along with curling and uncurling of the body to swim in the water:
