Yaxchlilan II

Another beautiful building in Yaxchilan:

It contains a statue, probably of one of the late rulers called Bird Jaguar IV:

Yaxchilan has a place called the labyrinth. It is a relatively large indoor area with corridors on several levels. Here is the entrance:

Apart from bats, we also found a few other critters inside:


This last one is a tailless scorpion like the ones we saw in the caves in Puerto Rico.
